
Jutta Allmendinger is President of the Social Science Research Center Berlin and Professor of Sociology at the Humboldt-University of Berlin. She received her training in sociology and social psychology at the University of Mannheim, the University of Wisconsin, Harvard University and the Free University of Berlin.
Jutta Allmendinger is a member of the Scientific Commission of the Wissenschaftsrat, the Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften, the commission of experts "Forschung und Innovation" of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and a member of the German Academy of Natural Scientists Leopoldina. Her research interests are in social inequality, sociology of education, labour markets, life course, organizations, social polity and welfare.
