Hannover on the river Leine is the capital of the federal state of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen), Germany. With a population of more than 500,000 inhabitants the city is one of the mayor political, economic and cultural centres of northern Germany. The Hannover fairground, due to many extensions especially for the Expo 2000, is the largest in the world and every years hosts important commercial expositions such as the Hannover Fair and the CeBIT.

One of the most famous and beautiful sights in Hannover are the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen.

With its numerous museums and theatres, seven universities and colleges and a student population of 33,000 Hannover is also home to the arts and sciences ? and certainly a place to visit!
